Katie Peterson is the Educational Developer for Academic Advisors, working closely with both the Center for Teaching and Learning Innovation team and University Advising to create campus-wide professional development activities for academic advisors. In this role, Katie collaborates with academic units to create and support onboarding, professional development, and learning activities for academic advisors, promoting the needs of advisors as educators and leading ongoing professional and leadership initiatives.

Before this role, Katie served as the Assistant Director of Pre-Health and Human Biology Advising in the College of Natural Science at MSU, and she has advised MSU Spartans since the fall of 2016. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Family Community Services from MSU and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration from Georgia Southern University.
