CTLI serves as Michigan State University’s centralized intellectual and operational resource for educator development. We embrace a broad definition of educator, offering our support to all who work to affect Spartans’ learning; we translate the university’s land-grant mission into transformative, learner-centric teaching.
Our team of educator development specialists works closely with MSU IT, MSU Libraries, and academic units across the university to catalyze equitable and engaging education through innovation and implementation of evidence-based practices. Our values-driven consultations and programs favor a cycle of conversation, inquiry, and prototyping to meet the specific, nuanced needs of MSU’s educator community. This ensures that educational strategies remain technically sound, remove systemic barriers, and provide frameworks that prioritize student agency and perspective.
