The Faculty Fellows program at MSU is designed to enhance student learning through innovative faculty projects. Fellows will focus on:

  • Reimagining learning experiences
  • Building a community around student learning
  • Conducting research on learning with technology
     

Program Highlights

Residency

Fellows spend time at our center, particularly during the summer, to facilitate collaboration.

Outcomes

  • Complete a project focused on teaching innovation.
  • Host a Fellows’ Hour to foster connections.
  • Contribute to the Center’s blog and publications.
  • Engage with the Center throughout the 12-month appointment.

Participation

  • Open to faculty with approved project proposals.
  • Requires departmental endorsement and commitment for summer support.
  • The Center provides resources and support tailored to each project’s needs.

Dr. Michele (MJ) Jackson

Project: AI Commons – Gen AI for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education

Dr. Jackson is developing AI Commons, a collaborative platform hosted on Knowledge Commons at MSU, to facilitate ongoing discussions and sharing of ideas among educators about the evolving role of generative AI in higher education.
